Artist Tony Sheets has been in charge of the annual art exhibit at the LA County fair for 9 years, following in his famous father's footsteps, Millard Sheets, who ran the prestigious annual exhibit for close to 30 years beginning in the 1930s. In 2015, The exhibit moved from the Millard Sheets pavilion to the first floor of the old Grandstands, formerly the pari-mutuel betting parlor for the Fair's horse racing. Turning it into a new art space required a lot of planning, design and construction. Tony enlisted a number of friends and created a new, interactive exhibition, "Experience Art Through The Senses." This video captures the beginning of the construction and conversion, and Tony Sheets gives and enthusiastic preview of what is to come.
